Maybe you are considering coming into the Church or maybe you are Catholic and would like to find a way to look again at what the faith is about.
Our RCIA group gets going on Tuesday 6th September at 8pm at the Presbytery and everyone is welcome.
Bring a bible if you have one.
We are hoping that this will be a useful point of contact and information for people who are already involved in any way in the life of St Joseph’s parish, Thame, and also be a source of interest for new people moving into our area or developing an interest in the Church.
Thame parish covers a wide area of the Oxfordshire countryside up to the Chilterns on its eastern border. Thame is the largest centre of population and Chinnor is growing fast, with many other villages within its boundaries including Great and Little Milton and Tetsworth.
Our Catholic history in this area builds on the witness of many previous generations, before the Reformation, and then keeping the faith alive in times of testing and persecution. The town of Thame received many French clergy at the time of the revolution and the example of their devotion helped to change local attitudes towards the Catholic faith. The history of our parish of St Joseph can be found on another page.
We hope you will visit the site regularly for weekly updates of news and mass times, and information about all our parish activities.
May God bless and help you always,
