Information

Each denary in our diocese has a special month of prayer for Vocations, praying for those God is calling to become priests or deacons, or to one of the many forms of Religious Life. We pray for the 'spirit of generosity' in hearts of families who might struggle to accept that a son or daughter is called to leave behind others' hopes and expectations to live in such a distinctive and commited way for God and His Church. We pray for those called, and discernment for them all and supporting and guding them.

Vocation Prayer

Heavenly Father, we ask you to send all labourers into your harvest. Inspire, in the hearts of your people, vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life. Bless our families with a spirit of generosity, so that those you call have the courage to give themselves to the Church in faith.
